Typing Internationally

It skipped a lot at first, it really did...
Two machines making their debut on my blog.
It's actually a really great machine to type on (for being as "new" as it is at least).  At the San Diego airport they took it away for a few minutes to inspect it, but I was allowed to bring it on the plane and I still have it home with me.  It now has "Ensenada, Mexico" written on the case proudly in sharpie, the first of hopefully many trips it goes on.
Shamelessly stolen from facebook as I took no pictures, this is my team in front of the house we built along with the family that now lives in it.  Yours truly is back center with the camo hat.  My parents attend a Korean church by the way, the other white dude in the picture is my dad.

New Remington Portable!

The top pen is a Pilot Precise V7RT, an ugly and uncomfortable pen, but with a really nice tip and great feel.  The one on the bottom is a Pilot G-2 07, my favorite pen.  I noticed something about the ink cartridges...

My good looking and comfortable G-2 but with the needle tip of the cooler ink cartridge.

Shopping in Roanoke

The new one is the one on the left.  They don't have a whole lot different between them.  I still prefer the Philosophizer though.

$40.  A little screwy but fixable.  Easy to pass up.
$45.  Less easy to pass up, but not worth it to me.  It could be a workhorse for someone.  All the wear and damage seems to be cosmetic.

Porch Sitting

My set up for a wonderful afternoon.   Frosted Flakes box isn't snacks, it's a makeshift trashcan which I pretty much filled after cleaning up the Quiet De Luxe.  It was full of nasty grime and grit.
Spastic might actually be an offensive word to UK readers, I don't know about Australia, but I used in the US way and looked it up later so I apologize if it came off as offensive at all.
My blogging machine for the day, it shouldn't be with me for very much longer.
That Looking Glass record right there is totally awesome by the way.  I only knew the song "Brandy" when I bought it, but the rest of the album is top notch.  They have a slightly country, folky sound and could maybe be Southern Rock but I think it might be just a little too chill.  Definitely porch music though.
Still working on this one but it is doing a lot better now than it had been.

A Twin to my Favorite

The solid chrome strip versus the black striped chrome strip is the only difference I can see (other than the color of course).
Good Christmas indeed, the Royal in it's fancy case on top and my reproduction Crosley record player below.
